Hey, Larry, what do you call a shark with arms?

Deciding to head up-river and search for Lucy’s sister, Esther, was the easy part. On their first night in the forest next to the increasingly foul-smelling stream, Mia and Minnie were on watch when they heard a sound far in the sky. Quickly covering the sleeping party with leaves, then ran into a nearby tree and watched as high above a group of some kind of creatures riding giant bats flew by. Luckily, the party went unnoticed.

The next evening, they arrived at a small pond with blue-tinted somewhat glowing water. Quickly, the party dissolved into creature hunting, as Indigo began searching the mud for snakes and axolotl and Minnie for a dry spot to sit. After sating their curiosity for small woodland aquatic creatures, the party began searching for the reason they journeyed there in the first place: a missing dragon turtle sister.

The party forged across the pond, avoiding whatever creatures might live on its shores. Thankfully, dragon turtles stick out when placed in small ponds, and although she was groggy from the altered water, the party had a quick solution. Attaching Lucy’s shrinker made Esther both adorably small, and very portable: Indigo scooped the now tiny dragon turtle up and dumped her in a bucket. While leaving, however, a group of shark-people, the Sahuagin, objected, gave chase, and attacked on the shore of the pond. Engaged, the party relied on their go-to skills. Minnie turned one shark-person into a laughing, flopping, mess. Faerun held one off with her bow before finishing it off with her axe. Mia brought down a glowing beam of moonlight that incinerated everything it touched. And Esther, even as diminutive as she was, was still a dragon turtle: her tiny breath still was a vicious puff of scalding steam. The remaining Sahuagin fled to regroup as the party turned and marched through the night to reunite the sisters.
