I am sure we can come to an agreement, Mr. Fish.

With peace established between the Tabaxi representatives and the party, the group finished their journey back to the village of Great Bear Lake. There, met by Mayor Finn and First Secretary Fizz, the party excitedly introduced their new traveling companions. The mayor and first secretary were overjoyed at the idea of a new trading partner, and quickly appointed the kids to negotiate the treaty. Confused, Faerun, Mia, and Minnie spoke up, reminding the adults that they’re teenagers and didn’t know how to negotiate a fishing rights treaty. Undaunted, Mayor Finn expressed his trust in their fine decision making skills and education, and went on his way while calling out, “Neither do I!”

Left to their own devices, the party started bartering between the village and the Tabaxi representatives. The Tabaxi would get some volume of fish, and in return, they would send desert plants and spices. When asked about rescuing Warwick, the Tabaxi deferred, preferring not to go swimming themselves. The captain of the Mighty Scratcher, however, indicated he had underwater breathing apparatuses which he would be happy to share for some fish, once repairs were complete. Things were going along swimmingly, when the school librarian walked by on the way to work. “What about the Momota?” she asked. The party, confused, asked what she meant. She wondered whether the signatories from the prior treaty would be invited to take part. Shocked that there was a prior treaty, the party started asking around. Their search led them to Griff, the village historian. He said yes, there were other parties, but the documentation was scarce and he didn’t have a copy of the original treaty. Rumor said that the Momota lived in the forest somewhere to the west.

Borrowing a small sailboat, the party restocked their supplies and set off in search of whoever the Momota might be.
